Marina La Bonita is located in the Mexican Caribbean just 15 minutes from the Cancun International Airport, at the half-way point between Cancun and Playa del Carmen near the quaint fishermen's village of Puerto Morelos at Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita Resort & Thalasso. This location makes us a perfect fit whether traveling from Cancun or Playa del Carmen, and is the ideal springboard for marine activities as we are located directly in front of the Puerto Morelos National Marine Park the best preserved region of the largest reef in the Northern Hemisphere.
The region known as the Mayan Riviera is a stretch of warm ocean waters, beautiful sand beaches and lush Mayan jungle, the home to some of the world’s most beautiful sea life and exotic animals. It’s a place well known for its juxtaposition of relaxation and adventure, luxury and wilderness, sea and land. At Marina La Bonita, our goal is to introduce our guests to the wonders of the ocean, and offer the best possible sites for exploration while delivering luxury service. A major attraction throughout the Riviera Maya is the coastal and reef aquatic activities dependent on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System which begins near Cancun and continues along the whole length of the Riviera Maya continuing southward to Guatemala. This barrier reef system is the second largest in the world, and the region’s warm climate makes the Riviera Maya one of the best experiences for aquatic activities in the world. An alternative to our ocean reef diving is the underground river caves known as Cenotes. These caves offer a unique experience for snorkeling or Scuba diving because of their crystal clear fresh water, which comes from rainwater slowly infiltrated through the ground. Exploration of these caves is an essential part of seeing the Yucatán Peninsula, as you will discover geographical features that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world.
